Selling & Marketing Without Your Own Web Site - Here’s How

If you do any type of marketing at all - and anyone who is selling anything has to market it - then you have developed some type of relationship with Google.

Some people have learned to love Google and their Adwords system and others have learned to hate it. Regardless of which one you are, Google is here to stay and we need them.

If you have a web site and you have become skilled at the organic listing game (SEO) with your pages ranking well, Congratulations! But, if your pages are still lost on page 55 of Google (or worse) and you have little to no traffic then the PPC game is what you need to do. In fact even if your pages rank well for lots of good keywords and keyword phrases, you probably don’t rank for ALL your keywords. For those of you who sell physical products and do sales and special offers, PPC is still a necessary part of your marketing campaign.

Thats all fine and dandy for the people who have their own web sites. But, what if you don’t have a web site and you still want to sell? You can’t optimize someone elses web site and benefit from it. Can’t you just send people through your affiliate link to make the sale? Not anymore.

Lets look at a few of their policies and whats been done in the past.

Basically the display URL - you know, the 4th line in the ad - must be the same domain as your destination url AND Google will only display your ad if there are no other ads with the same url. So if you are an affiliate of a company XYZ and they are already running an ad for XYZ.com, your ad isn’t going to show up.

One of the techniques many “well known marketers” have recommended is to buy a domain name and then set that domain (URL) to auto redirect the visitor to another place - such as the destination of your affiliate URL. Google won’t allow that. Watch the video to learn more.

Google wants to see the visitor land on the page they were expecting as defined in the ad.

So, what’s a person to do if they don’t have their own web site? Selling through affiliate links can be pretty lucrative and now the rules have changed. The perfect world contains your affiliate link and a successful Adwords campaign to send traffic through your link to the affiliate site. Now that Google has changed a few things, it is necessary to have a web site BUT….

There is an alternative to those who want to play the affiliate game but not bother with hosting and knowing html, etc.

• You don’t need to go to Clickbank and sort through the marketplace. This system brings the Clickbank marketplace to you. Just type in your keywords for the topics and the choices show up. Select the products and they are “loaded” into the system for your use.
• Stats, Stats, Stats - You have nothing if you don’t track the performance of your page, your adwords campaign and your affiliate sales. The system combines all 3 into one area so you can see at a glance what page, product or campaign is working.
• Support - there are videos and guides to help you but the best thing is the entire system is streamlined so its not confusing. It doesn’t contain 1,000 steps and 11 dvd’s to watch before you can use it. Follow the steps.
