There are many factors that search engines like Google consider when ranking your site. One of the most important factors is links.

Specifically who links to your site and how many links you have. Of course the most common method of linking is reciprocal linking. This is where I put a link on my site to your site and you do the same for me. These certainly help but the best type of links are one way links.

Obviously if others are linking to your site, it must mean 1. Its a popular site and 2. someone must consider it an authority.

You probably have heard this term lots – authority site. Well I’m going to tell you about a service that provides one way links. This is not a spamy link farm.

First you need to know that I was one of the beta testers of the system so I know what it did for my site.

We all know linking is a basic effective way to climb in the search
engines. But did you know that one way links are actually the best?

Obtaining one way links(non reciprocal) for your site shows Google that your site is popular. One way links are the most effective links to get.

Now you know I don’t recommend products and services I haven’t tried so let me tell you about my experience with this service.
I was fortunate to be one of the beta testers so I used my Newest site, www.DoodleMyShoes.com.

For those of you who know me, you know that most of my sites are e-commerce sites. I believe getting ranking for certain keywords for e-commerce sites are the toughest.

So anyway, I thought what better way to test this system then to use my newest e-commerce web site. www.DoodleMyShoes.com went live March 2007 and was indexed by Google just a few weeks later.

I joined the beta testing for this link exchange program June 19, 2007.

I selected the following keywords / phrases:
Croc Charms
Jibbitz croc charms
Shoe doodles croc charms

As of today July 16 my site ranks in Google as follows:

croc charms #2
jibbitz croc charms #5
shoe doodles croc charms #1

I’d say thats pretty good for a site that is only 5 months old and doesn’t even have page rank yet. I’ve haven’t done any other linking campaigns. The link for that new site is in my signature for a few forums I belong to and that’s it.
I don’t even have reciprocal linking software on www.DoodleMyShoes.com like I have on my other sites.

It’s worth your time to check it out. By the way, you aren’t locked in to the keywords you originally select when you add your site. Today I have changed mine to see if
I can get ranking for some new keywords.

As a beta tester I was allowed to list 2 sites. One for the link campaign and one for the article exchange campaign. This week I am adding all my other sites to the link campaign!
